My Story
I’m Amber, a rug‑tufting artist working from my cosy Sheffield studio in Kelham Island. Colour and texture are my happy place, and tufting has been my creative home ever since I discovered it during my Textiles degree at Huddersfield University in 2020.
I graduated with a first, specialising in tufting and woven construction, and I’ve been surrounded by yarn, colour, and tufting guns ever since. Ive spent time working in the fashion industry in product development alongside building my rug creations.
In 2025, I completed my PGCE in Secondary Design and Technology with Art, which opened the door to teaching tufting workshops in schools. Working with children and young people to spark creativity and encourage future designers has become one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
My studio is located in the heart of Kelham Island, Sheffield — a cosy space where I run hands‑on rug‑tufting workshops and create custom rugs. Whether it’s bold, joyful colour or a crisp black‑and‑white palette, I love designing rugs that feel personal and full of character. Every piece is one of a kind, made with care, texture, and a whole lot of tufting enthusiasm.
If you have a rug idea- i would love to hear.

My tufting studio is in a collective arts building called K.I.A.C (Kelham island arts collective) with over 30 different art studios.
